Informix is a Relational Database Management System(RDBMS) from IBM. You may have heard of it, if not it competes in the SQL marketplace (very favourably in our opinion) with other products like Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server. Despite the fact it's a commercial product, we've been using Informix for years now and it has matured over that time into a solid, dependable piece of software.

Using Informix development tools, we then develop applications that you will need for Querying and Updating your data. We have amassed an extensive library of applications, although you may need new applications developed to cater for the specifics of your business.
The applications we provide can be presented to the user via traditional character-based terminals (mainly run from your Linux or Windows desktop), which is ideal for manufacturing environments or where speed of input/processing is of the essence. We can also produce applications that run natively in Web browsers allowing for more modern ‘Point and Click’ type solutions.
We have in-depth experience in the SE (Standard Engine) version of Informix, which has historically been aimed at small scale database applications running on quite modest server hardware (although we’ve seen some pretty big setups using this product over the years).
More recently we’ve started getting involved with Informix IDS (Dynamic Server) edition. This ‘full blown’ SQL server allows for much larger databases and very fine control over all aspects of day to day running.
The additional features provided by Informix IDS in comparison with SE, makes it ideal for developing applications using modern Web based technologies and reporting front-ends.
