First thing’s first - Cuando is not a Pirate organisation and does not in any way condone the act of hijacking ocean vessels in exchange of bounty, or any other chocolate product for that matter.
That said, however, we are Followers of the Code...
You may have noticed while browsing through our website that there is a certain philosophy that loosely shapes the way we operate. We recognise that computers are just tools, that you need to run your business. You need to invest in computer technology, but you don't want to be blinded by waffle or sold something you don't really need.
We have provided reliable hardware and software solutions and tried whenever possible to exceed the expectations of our clients. Our favoured approach is to use a combination of Open Source Linux Server and application software, such as OpenOffice, Firefox web browser and others.
Adopting a Linux/Open Source solution means saying goodbye to expensive software licences and enjoying the benefits of applications developed and improved upon by many users around the world.
Meet and Greet
Cuando Ltd is run by Mr David Webster, with the assistance of Mr Darrin Clamp.
They both studied at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne ( about 20 years apart that is) and duly embarked on their careers in industry.
These men promptly escaped from their careers and now survive as Cuando employees. Rather conveniently they have similar views all things I.T. (most of the time)
David lives in Hull with his lovely family and enjoys drinking copious quantities of tea, the pirate lifestyle, violently powerful cheeses and works tirelessly in his local community dealing with the effects of Thalassoharpaxophobia (more commonly known as the fear of Pirates). And Pirates, did we mention Pirates?
Darrin lives in Lancashire with his lovely wife and has keen interests in both art and photography, as he discovered when he met Johannes Vermeer (the 17th century Dutch Master infamous for his Camera Obscura techniques). Darrin has also been known to lie about his interests on Websites, but he is an extremely skilled asthmatic, with over 30 years experience.
